The Bay Area History of Medicine Society presents Victoria Sweet

On Wednesday February 13, at 630 pm, UCSF Library at Parnassus, Victoria Sweet MD. Associate Clinical Professor UCSF, will give a presentation titled “God’s Hotel: A Doctor, a Hospital, and a Pilgrimage to the Heart of Medicine.”
SweetDrawn from Dr. Sweet’s recent book, this talk will concern Hildegard of Bingen’s medicine and her idea of viriditas, or greening power, as well as the history of the hospital and hospitality and the almshouse, with some history of Laguna Honda Home HH in particular.
